Biography

Guthrie Graves-Fitzsimmons writes about religion, politics, culture, and public policy. He was a fellow at the Center for American Progress, where he worked on religious liberty policy and faith-based advocacy across CAP’s various issue areas. He is the author of Just Faith: Reclaiming Progressive Christianity (Broadleaf Books, 2020) and has written for national news outlets including MSNBC, CNN and The Washington Post. Graves-Fitzsimmons earned his undergraduate degree from American University in Washington, D.C., and his Master of Divinity degree from Union Theological Seminary in New York City. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry in Prophetic Leadership degree from Iliff School of Theology in Denver, Colorado.
