Haley Taylor Schlitz, celebrated for her insightful perspectives as a Generation Z Black woman, has recently embarked on a new venture as a recurring columnist for Insight News and the Black Wall Street Times. In her columns, Haley delves into the experiences and viewpoints of her generation, offering a fresh and compelling narrative on contemporary issues. In February 2024, Haley achieved a significant milestone by joining the Minnesota State Bar, establishing herself as one of the youngest attorneys in the world. At just 19 years old, Haley made history as the youngest Black person and youngest woman to graduate from law school in the history of the United States, achieving this remarkable feat on May 13, 2022. Her academic journey is marked by excellence, having graduated with honors from Texas Woman’s University College of Professional Education in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science degree, becoming the youngest graduate in the university's history. Haley's notable achievements have earned her recognition from influential figures, including being featured by Beyonce as one of her "This Is Black History 2020" honorees on February 28, 2020. During her law school tenure, Haley was also selected as one of seven national editors for the American Bar Association Law Student Division, showcasing her leadership and expertise in the field. In 2021, Haley further expanded her professional experience by serving as a legislative intern for the Commit Partnership and as an ambassador for the African American Policy Forum's Young Scholar program. These roles allowed her to deepen her understanding of policy and advocacy, enriching her voice as a columnist. Currently, Haley is a practicing attorney in Minnesota and a columnist for the Black Wall Street Times and Insight News.
