My name is Harley, and I am an Appalachian State University alumna who graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication-Journalism with an English minor. My journalism career started in high school, where I was a staff writer for Northwest Horizons before I was promoted to the Arts & Culture Editor. In my college years, I was a copy editor for The Appalachian before I was promoted to Chief Copy Editor and then Managing Editor. After receiving my degree, I started working as a journalist for a local news organization High Country Press in Boone, NC.
