Hector Cervantes received his M.A. in journalism and B.A. in communication studies from DePaul University and is a freelance writer and an internal communications coordinator at Northwestern University. Hector writes for Cycling Weekly, the world's top cycling publication for news, racing, reviews, buying advice, fitness, and training tips. Additionally, Hector is a contributing writer for Growing Community Media, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit publisher of authentic, independent, local community journalism, online and in print, across seven communities on the west side of Chicago and in its west suburbs.
