Biography

Greetings! My name is Hunter Morrison and I am a young journalist. In my short career, I have filled a number of journalistic duties. During my junior year of college, I was a contributing writer for "The Voyager," a student-run news organization at the University of West Florida. During my senior year of college, I was Editor in Chief of The Voyager. In addition to this, I have overtaken various freelance reporting jobs during my time in college. My freelancing jobs include work with The Bay Beacon, the Navarre Press, the Crestview News Bulletin, and Inweekly. I have also interned with several local news organizations and magazines, including Ballinger Publishing and WUWF-FM (a National Public Radio affiliate), both based in Pensacola, Florida. I enjoy writing feature stories, covering cultures and subcultures, writing about the environment and public health, and many others. My dream is to one day work for an independent news organization covering foreign issues or conflicts. I would also like to one day work for a magazine, VICE Media Group, or any other news publication where I could write about topics I am passionate about.
