Biography
With more than ten years of experience in communications and journalism, Ifedayo Ogunyemi is a professional, hardworking and detail-oriented solutions journalist and media career coach. As an undergraduate at the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, Ifedayo served as Editor of four campus publications including MAPECHO newspaper, AURA, FACT and Corporate Mirror magazines. He was also on the editorial boards of some others. He also has a Bachelor of Science degree from Ajayi Crowther University. He has articles published across more than five national dailies and a litany of online news platforms. At present, he is a Chief Correspondent with the Nigerian Tribune, a publication of the African Newspapers of Nigeria (ANN) Plc. He was selected among the 2022 LEDE Fellows of the Solutions Journalism Network (SJN) among other local and international fellowship programmes He developed a trait to train and advise colleagues on their media careers and opportunities over the years. He is also affiliated with I-79 Media Consults, a media training, consultancy and career development hub which has provided career insights, advice and mentorship for more than five hundred (500) media enthusiasts directly. When he's not tapping away at his keypad, Ifedayo can be found discussing football with colleagues and friends.
