Biography

Isha is an Associate Producer for Good Morning America at ABC News, working in the tape department. She has produced 200+ pieces for network air covering a variety of topics including, but not limited to: breaking news, international news, race and culture, weather, entertainment, politics, business, and sports. Currently, she works overnights from 11pm – 7am, predominantly crashing pieces for the show. Her producing duties include pitching stories, writing scripts, gathering elements, tracking news, conducting interviews, working with an editor, collaborating with the correspondent and senior team, conceiving and ordering graphics, booking crews and interviews, and more. She also fills in as the overnight senior for Weekend GMA, which entails overseeing the entire show, approving scripts and pieces, working with the assignment desk to make sure all reporting is up-to-date and accurate, and providing guidance to a team of mostly younger staff. Isha graduated from Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications with a degree in Television, Radio, and Film, and also has a minor in Political Science from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. At SU, she was heavily involved with CitrusTV, the university's award-winning and entirely student-run campus television station. She served as the Executive Producer for the station's live morning and evening newscasts, also rotating through various crew positions including directing and technical directing. Outside of CitrusTV, she was one of the first undergraduates in the country to be trained on automated directing using Ross OverDrive, which lead to a job working in the control room for upper-level Broadcast & Digital Journalism classes and ESPN on ACCN studio shows. Furthermore, she is user certified in Avid Media Composer and has experience in daytime talk, research and development, social media, and more.
