I have experience in a number of areas, but my writing, editing, attention to detail, phone and office etiquette highlight my experience. I have gone door-to-door when volunteering for Senator Cory Booker's campaign and selling home security systems for Vivint, Inc. I am well-accustomed to dealing with often irrational customer and constituent anger from my time in these positions and working for Congresswoman Kathy Castor. Working for Congresswoman Castor provided me with a plethora of invaluable office and political experience and forced me to improve my organizational capacity. Since taking the position of sports editor for The Panther, I have sharpened my writing and editing abilities as well as fine-tuning my eye for news and gaining an incisive perspective for analyzing the world. I have shaped our brand with social media and multimedia pitches that extend our stories onto a larger, interactive platform. At Cater Communications, I saw what it was like to work on the public relations side of the media landscape. I successfully pitched stories to other journalists and helped coordinate interviews with our representatives. I managed a number of social media accounts across Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, constantly crafting posts that targeted groups with specific messages. I work best when I am constantly pressed and challenged. I firmly enjoy being given duties beyond what is expected of me and I guarantee my effort to be genuine and unrelenting if nothing else.
