The Williston Herald is a 6-day daily newspaper for northwest North Dakota and northeast Montana in the heart of the Bakken oilfield. The Herald also publishes the Talkin' the Bakken oilfield magazine and the Plains Reporter. The 22 editorial distinctions nearly doubles the newsroom's award total from 2009 when the Herald won 12. The Herald competes in the category of daily newspaper, 12,000 circulation or less. The awards were for stories, photos and ads that were printed in 2010.
