I’m a San Diego-based journalist and author covering the links between home and health. My latest book, Wellness by Design: Optimize Your Home for Health, Fitness and Happiness, was published by Simon & Schuster in September 2020. I wrote and published a bonus chapter on my website in October 2023, sharing lessons learned from the pandemic. I'm a senior contributor to Forbes.com on wellness design. I also write the Trend Spotting column for Kitchen & Bath Design News and have contributed to Next Avenue, HuffPost, Multi-Housing News and numerous other publications on home design and wellness topics.
