Biography

Born and raised in San Francisco, J Mina Rios found inspiration in the arts through film, live music, dance, theater, and the culinary experience. Following her training in music, theater, and dance - and her college pursuit in Journalism and Mass Communication, Rios followed a decade long career path down Marketing, Advertising, and Public Relations avenues before finding her true calling in Journalism. Rios established her own consulting business Mina Communications in 2007, to help facilitate Advertising, Public Relations, and Marketing service needs in the arts community - and to serve as a voice for the arts through stimulating, under-reported journalism. Media affiliations include: Made Local Magazine, Sonoma Magazine, In Dance, the North Bay Bohemian, the Pacific Sun, the San Diego Reader, Dance International Magazine, Dance For You Magazine, ExploreDance dot com, RestaurantAgent dot com, and others.
