A journalist with over three decades of experience. Started as a contributor (1986) for The Indian Nation in Patna, Bihar, India. Moved to The Time of India, then The Business & Political Observer in New Delhi (1990-91). Been with NHK's New Delhi bureau, covering South Asia extensively. Been part of the launch team for Sahara's news channel, others, and later Times Now news channel (2005-2019). In the way, graduated from the typewriter to a laptop. Covered East & South Asia... mainly politics, insurgency, & conflict... Now a freelance contributor, covering politics, human, and farmer issues in India...
