CRTV

CRTV, or Cameroon Radio Television, is the national public broadcasting service of Cameroon, established in 1974. It plays a significant role in promoting national identity and cultural heritage. Initially a radio service, CRTV expanded into television, becoming a key player in the country's media landscape. The organization was formally established by law in 1987, merging Cameroon Television and Cameroon Radio. CRTV offers a variety of services across both radio and television platforms. Its television offerings include a generalist channel and thematic channels such as CRTV News and CRTV Sport & Entertainment. On the radio side, CRTV operates a national service along with ten regional channels and several local stations, ensuring coverage across different parts of Cameroon. As a state-controlled entity, CRTV is accountable to the Ministry of Communication and continues to serve a diverse audience both domestically and internationally through CRTV International.
