I’m also the author of a switch-mode power supply text book, titled “Power Supplies,” published by the Reston division of Prentice Hall. I co-founded Jeta Power Systems, a pioneer in the field of high-wattage switching power supplies, which was acquired by Computer Products. I’m also an inventor, named on 21 U.S. and international patents in the fields of thermal energy harvesting and optical metamaterials. I’ve had the privilege of speaking on global trends in electronics on numerous occasions and have been invited to speak at dozens of major industry events. A few examples include the plenary session of the IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference, Semicon West, Global Semiconductor Alliance Emerging Opportunities Conference, IBM Power and Cooling Symposium, and Delta Electronics Senior Staff Seminar on global trends in telecommunications power.
