Biography

After teaching secondary English for ten years, I have become a freelance writer and reporter. I mostly write for local newspapers including the Jeffersonian-Democrat in Brookville and the Courier-Express in DuBois. I'm particularly interested in feature writing, though I also contribute to news coverage as well as my editorial column. I'm also the editor of the Jeffersonian Journal, an annual publication through the Jefferson County Historical Society, where I serve as a board member. I'm also on the board for a local nonprofit organization committed to promoting the arts and supporting local artists called C.R.E.A.T.E Brookville. I run a writers' group through C.R.E.A.T.E called The Writers' Block Party.
