I am the digital content director for WATT Global Media, a B2B media company based in Rockford, Ill., that serves the global poultry, egg, animal feed and pet food industries. I oversee WATT's Unified Copy Desk and art and production departments. I am heavily involved in digital content direction, decisions and projects. Before coming to WATT, I was the communication manager for The Galena Territory Association, a residential resort community just outside Galena, Ill., for more than 4 years. I was a professional journalist for 15 years, 19 total. I served in editor roles my entire career, as editor of weekly newspapers, news editor at a small daily and assistant city editor and digital content editor at the Telegraph Herald in Dubuque, IA. I enjoy learning all things digital journalism and finding new, exciting ways to gather and share content. I also enjoy page layout and photography, and have won many better newspaper contest awards for both, and for my writing, which is my favorite part of any journalism job I've had.
