Biography

I'm a native New Yorker but have lived in Philly for nearly 30 years. I've watched as the city has changed and grown and that's triggered a latent interest in urban planning. (Growing up, my brother and I were dragged across every bridge in the NYC area as my father told endless stories about the Empire State and Chrysler buildings, etc. My brother became an architect.) In general, I write about the intersecting areas of cities, design, interiors, architecture, historical preservation, urban landscapes, hotels, etc. Some of my best stories have appeared in university alumni magazines on these topics but also on aspects of neuroscience.
