Biography
After earning my master's in public health, I worked as a research project coordinator for a large non-profit healthcare organization in Minnesota. Last year, I decided to put these coordinator skills together with my passion for sports. I'm now working towards my master's in sports journalism. I moved from Minnesota to London (with my dog in tow) this past September knowing no one in London. Since then, I have attended Brentford press conferences with Thomas Frank, reported on WSL games, produced live news days, joined a non-league football team's media team, written about the sports and issues I'm passionate about, and been part of the first all-female commentary team in National League history. I don't take any of these experiences for granted. Although my career paths seem vastly different, they have more in similar than immediately meets the eye. Active listening, tailoring messages to specific audiences, and adapting to changing timelines were at the core of my academic experiences and role as an evaluation coordinator. Now, they’ve become essential in my work as a sports journalist.
