Biography

I am one of those lucky few who gets to make their living doing what gives me great joy and satisfaction. For more than a decade, I have been a reporter with small-town newspapers in central New Mexico. Not only do I get to write on a daily basis, I also get to meet incredible people, help a few folks along the way and indulge my nerdy penchant for zoning ordinances and county government. In my free time, I read too much, binge-watch Netflix, keep up with two growing boys and a small pack of mammals. My goals in life are to be kind, well rounded and finish that pesky novel all reporters have hanging around in the back of their head. Some days I succeed, others I'm grumpy, lopsided and cursed with writers block. So I try to hold on to the advice that the only way out is through.
