Solving Sacramento is a collaborative of nonprofit and for-profit local newsrooms, educational institutions, and community partners working together to produce and share news stories on the issues that most impact the greater Sacramento region. We do this through solutions journalism. We are currently focused on the topics of affordable housing, economic equity, the environment and the arts. Our members include: Sacramento Observer, Sacramento News & Review, Sacramento Business Journal, Russian American Media, Outword Magazine, CapRadio, Univision and California Groundbreakers. Our founding funder was the Solutions Journalism Network. We are currently supported by the James Irvine Foundation and James B. McClatchy Foundation.
