Biography
A news anchor/Starbucks heavy user, I've worked in radio for fifteen years while cultivating dual careers in teaching and writing. After graduate school, I moved to Chicago (2006) to serve first on the upper school faculty at The Elgin Academy and then at The Latin School of Chicago. Since leaving LSC in 2014, I've had a book published (PHANTOM SOUNDS) with a novel (about radio), EASTER MONDAY, forthcoming. Both from Big Table Publishing, San Francisco/Boston. My broadcasting life has been as an on-air talent and program director/brand manager for two F.M. stations (SAGA COMMUNICATIONS) and as a news anchor/reporter. I'm currently the overnight news anchor at WWJ Newsradio 950 in Detroit. I split my time between Detroit and Springfield, IL where I live with my partner of 30 years, Wade. I'm a regular contributor to CBS Radio News.
