Biography
Personally, I blame the Great Financial Crisis for sparking my interest in banking news. I knew little about what was happening at the time, but I knew I wanted to learn more. That ultimately led me to answer a job posting for a banking reporter with the Warren Group in Boston, where I mainly covered community banks and credit unions in New England. Today I work for American Banker, covering regional and national banks, consumer finance and environmental, social and governance issues. I'm especially interested in the people side of the banking industry. How are banks thinking about attracting and retaining talent? How can banks play a greater role in solving the social and environmental issues we face today? How can finance be a force for good in the world? You get the idea. In a previous life, I covered crime, courts, and prisons for the Manchester, Conn.-based Journal Inquirer.
