Laurie Rojas is an art critic based in Miami (b. Panama). She is the former Senior Editor of Spike Art Magazine and the Berlin Correspondent to The Art Newspaper. Her writing has also been featured in Artbasel.com, Artsy, Artnet, Artforum, Sotheby's Magazine, Chicago Art Criticism, Time Out Chicago, The Nation, The New Yorker, Artslant, 491, Kunst und Auktionen, Happening media, Hart Magazine, Arts of the Working Class, among others. She received her B.F.A and her M.A. from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago, and she wrote her Master's thesis on Confronting the “Death” of Art Criticism. Laurie is fluent in English and Spanish and is currently learning German. Her writing has been translated to Spanish, German, Italian, French, Russian and Mandarin.
