Biography
After 20 years covering the Indiana Statehouse, I became the managing editor of the Indianapolis Business Journal, a weekly tabloid that covers the Central Indiana economy, businesses, real estate, health care, politics and more. Previously, I covered state and local politics and government. I came to the Statehouse in 1996 as a reporter, editor, photographer, videographer and columnist. That’s a period that spanned five governors, 20 regular legislative sessions, and countless state, local and national political races. Most recently, I served as executive editor of TheStatehouseFile.com, a news website powered by Franklin College journalism students. And I covered Indiana government previously for The Courier-Journal in Louisville and The Journal Gazette in Fort Wayne. I’ve also provided political analysis for a number of television and radio networks and programs including C-SPAN, Indiana Week in Review, Indiana Lawmakers and Indy’s Morning News on WIBC radio.
