Biography

I have been a science writer for 15 years. For the most part, I worked for the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing. I mainly covered physics, astronomy and space. I travelled across China to visit facilities which are used to explore the largest and smallest structures in the universe, including the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope, the Beijing Electron Positron Collider, and the China Spallation Neutron Source. I witnessed the launch of China’s first X-ray telescope from the Gobi desert, and a primordial gravitational wave observatory being built on the Tibetan Plateau. Between 2014 and 2015 I was a visiting journalist at Science magazine in Washington D.C. I returned to the United States as an Enlight Fellow at Ohio University in 2018 to pursue my master’s degree in journalism. My writing has appeared in Scientific American, MIT Technology Review, Science, Physics World and multiple Chinese outlets.
