By leveraging marketing analytics, I tailored our content to our audience's preferences, which led to a substantial increase in user interactions on both our social media channels and our website. Managing the Plymouth Chronicle’s WordPress website has been another crucial aspect of my role. I ensured that our site was always up-to-date with timely news articles and multimedia content. Implementing strong SEO practices with YOAST tools, creating ‘Latest Edition’ and ‘Featured Videos’ pages, and improving overall site performance through image optimization and lazy loading were all part of my efforts to enhance user experience and boost our Google rankings. Print and Advertising Design In addition to my digital responsibilities, I have also designed and produced various print materials, including flyers, leaflets, and event stands. Coordinating in-paper advertising has required me to collaborate with different entities to create impactful advertising materials that effectively communicate our messages. Producing high-quality video content has been one of the most exciting parts of my job. I have created videos for both our internal campaigns and external clients, including local authorities and national brands like Plymouth Gin. This experience has been particularly relevant in the current social media landscape, where engaging video content is crucial for maintaining audience interest. I also led the layout and design of our quarterly magazine, the Chamber Profile Magazine, which caters to Plymouth businesses. Working in collaboration with PB Media and the Plymouth & Devon Chamber of Commerce, I ensured that the magazine was visually appealing and coherent. This publication reaches 2,000 B2B customers, making it a vital communication tool for the local business community. Working at Plymouth Chronicle has been an incredible journey.
