Hello! M.C. Ramos-Olivar here. I am a first-wave millennial, first-generation Asian-American writer from Nevada with a fondness for working on entertainment, health, and wellness content. Everything that’s bundled in with it — research, interviews, storytelling, editing, late nights, second and third cups of coffee, etc. — comes naturally. What’s not so natural to me is the attention that comes with a byline. To dim my shine and stay in relative anonymity I’ve used different names, sobriquets, and the occasional nom de guerre: Maria Carmina Olivar, Miao Olivar, Maria Carmina Ramos, Maria Ramos, A Problem Like Maria.
