Here's my mission: infusing research, communication and development economics to influence policy-making. I grew up studying at a private school in the morning and playing soccer with kids from low-income families in the afternoon. In contrast, my father spend his childhood selling popsicles after school to help his parents earn a living. Why were we born in different economic circumstances? Why did the families of those kids I played soccer with did not exit poverty like my father did? Most importantly, what can I do about this problem? These questions led me to who I am today: a person who aims to capitalize on three of my strengths to make my mission come true. First, research. After writing 600+ articles and analysis, I have nurtured detail-oriented traits to organize information and craft error-free writings that meet deadlines. I achieve this via thorough data analysis and a network of 1,000+ people from different sectors. I also developed a time and project management system to ensure productivity. Second, communication. As a communicator, I specialize in delivering clear and concise information that challenge audiences to pay attention to what matters most in a particular topic. The goal is simple — to transform a complex and data-heavy topic into a clear, concise and powerful communication outputs that suit different audiences. Lastly, development economics. I have the knack of trying to understand the policy landscape and various interests through data, and then find room for policy influence.
