Madeleine Kelly is a photojournalist and writer, based full-time in Ukraine. She bang her career in journalism covering the 2019 Hong Kong protests, before returning to the United States in 2020. From there she covered the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests as well as a variety of political protests throughout the country. During the general election, she covered the elections from Washington D.C. Her time in Ukraine has focused primarily on the military and frontline coverage of the war from places like Kyiv, Bucha, Irpin, Bakhmut, Lysychansk, Avdiivka, Zaporizhzhia, Orkihiv, Robotyne, Vulhedar, Chasiv Yar, and other front-line positions.
