Biography

Mark is a freelance journalist from the Philippines. He was selected as one of the global "Changemakers" by Thomson Reuters Foundation in 2021, a Climate Tracker journalism fellow in 2020, and a Pioneers Post social enterprise journalism fellow in 2016. Aside from writing Southeast Asia business and enterprise stories for print publications, he has also produced television documentaries on various issues such as human rights, poverty, children's rights and welfare, public health, education, labor and migration, natural disasters, gender equality, and agriculture, among others. He was a media producer, writer, and researcher for ABS-CBN Corporation. Mark leads the communications and project activities of the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative's (HHI) Program on Resilient Communities.
