Biography
I'm Matt Gray (@mkgthewriter) and I am a native of Central California. (Santa Cruz County) I have an interest in people and topics of all kinds. Specific subcultures I like writing about are Skateboarding, Tattoo Enthusiasts, Tennis, Music Making, Film, Podcasts and much more. I am an ASCAP Writer/Publisher and have collaborated on writing songs since 1987. My most recent collaboration was with a Grammy Winning Artist named Michael Wansley (WANZ) and the song was presented at a Grammy U ceremony. Other artists I have worked with are Anthony Fesmire of Outside Pedestrian, Phil Harrington in Matt and Phil's Band, Country singer Ryan Price, and longtime friend/songwriting mentor Lisa Aschmann. I studied Communications with Public Relations at Southern New Hampshire, and Digital Cinematography at Full Sail University after receiving my Business Certificate from Full Sail. Before that, I studied at Trebas Institute of Recording Arts in their Music Business Administration program where I interned for Epic Records in their Media Relations Department.
