I am Md Ishtiak Hossain, a full-time professional journalist based in Dhaka for the past couple of years. A skilled and enthusiastic learner in the challenging medium of journalism, my aim is to contribute and share my knowledge, abilities, and experiences for the greater good. As a constant learner, I respectfully monitor, research and understand the pace and requirements of news organizations. I have always been a team player who can function and perform under pressure, and I believe that continuing in this direction will allow me to develop both professionally and personally, reach the desired success, and have a positive impact on society. Moreover, I want to actively contribute to the industry through my work as a passionate and hardworking individual. I am currently working as the Cultural Correspondent (English) since April 01, 2019. Worked on more than 300 news reports in every calendar year since joining, covering a number of major cultural festivals, events and activities in the city and also the other parts of the country. Also wrote more than fifty byline reports/special articles. Dhaka Courier is UNB's sister concern English newsweekly under the Cosmos Group and I have been simultaneously working here as the Cultural Correspondent as well. Alongside my regular reports, I have written more than one hundred special articles for this newsweekly.
