Covering Climate Now

Covering Climate Now (CCNow) is a global journalism initiative founded in 2019 by Columbia Journalism Review and The Nation, in collaboration with The Guardian and WNYC. It aims to enhance climate crisis reporting by supporting journalists through training, resources, and collaborative projects. With over 500 media partners in more than 60 countries, CCNow reaches over 2 billion people worldwide. The initiative offers various services, including training webinars, resource hubs with reporting guides, and consulting for major news outlets like NBC News and Reuters. CCNow also facilitates cross-newsroom partnerships for joint reporting initiatives and provides newsroom toolkits to help integrate climate angles into various journalistic beats. Its mission is to ensure that climate stories are frequent, relevant, and solutions-oriented, promoting accessibility for newsrooms of all sizes through a no-cost membership model.
