Biography

As a small business owner who's spent the last fifteen years living and working in rural America, I'm interested in holistic wellness and community. I work in content marketing and freelance journalism and have done so for close to a decade. My introduction to journalism was as a political reporter. Formerly, I wrote breaking news for FloridaPolitics, Center for Illinois Politics and The Quoddy Tides, and was a contributor to numerous publications, both digital and print, including Tampa Bay Business & Wealth and The Mighty. In addition to journalism and reporting, I have my own sole proprietorship content agency. I am a Latinx mother to a wonderful daughter, living in the New England region of the United States. Though I can't ignore the impact growing up in the South and around the world has had on my life. I believe in the power of media for good, media advocacy and raising marginalized voices. In my free time, I enjoy being the gamemaster of a homebrewed TTRPG, creating art, writing fiction and dreaming. I am a home cook hobbyist, who believes wellness starts in the kitchen.
