Biography

I have been a staff writer for the Washington Blade since May 2012. The passage of same-sex marriage laws in Maryland and Delaware, the HIV/AIDS epidemic, the burgeoning LGBT rights movement in Latin America and the consecration of gay New Hampshire Bishop V. Gene Robinson are among the many stories on which I have reported since my career began in 2002. My work has appeared in the Huffington Post, the Village Voice, Fire Island News and other media outlets. I have also discussed LGBT-specific issues on the BBC, New York Times, News Channel 8 in D.C., WNYC in New York City other mainstream and LGBT publications. I hold a degree in journalism and Spanish from the University of New Hampshire.
