Miguel Cortina is Mexico Editor at MotorTrend magazine, the No. 1 automotive authority, delivering premium content and trending news to enthusiasts in the U.S. and the world. As part of the MotorTrend team, Cortina has experience reviewing the latest vehicles in the market, interviewing automotive engineers, designers, and product planners, and putting together Of the Year programs. Cortina won a 2024 Telly Award for his work on the documentary MotorTrend Investigates: China’s EV Takeover of Mexico, which uncovered the way Chinese automakers are planning to arrive to America via Mexico. Prior to becoming Mexico Editor, Cortina managed MotorTrend en Español, the number one automotive website for the Hispanic population in the U.S. and Latin America. Before joining the company, Cortina worked for Autos Terra Motor Trend as project leader in Mexico City from 2013 to 2015. Cortina also worked as a news editor for Noticieros Televisa and as a news desk assistant for ForoTV in Mexico City. Cortina received his bachelor’s degree in communications and history from the University of Houston.
