I'm an Independent Finnish Journalist and EU Correspondent in Brussels, Belgium since the beginning of 2017. Our continent and European Union are facing new challenges while the world around us is rapidly changing under the pressure of globalisation, nationalism, ongoing pandemia and new political realities at home and overseas. I am reporting about developments within the EU and trends of European Integration, consequences of Brexit, NATO and as well social, cultural, economical, and political phenomenas and trends. I’m curious to follow the developing technologies and trends of the business and financial world. As always, I will continue write my human interest features about real life which surrounds me. Europe is an endless source of fascinating ideas to consider and deliver. Previously, I have been working as an Independent Journalist and Correspondent in Copenhagen, Denmark, from 1995 to 1999 and in New York City from 1999 to 2010. From 2011 to 2016, I worked in Helsinki, Finland, as an editor of Silent Reportage Publications. Those reports were Journalistic fact finding projects about topics to which companies and organisations requested to research specifically for their internal considerations. Some of these papers were given to the public, and those reportages were repeatedly used as news sources by the main newspapers and tv-news in Finland. In 2017 to 2018 I was elected to the Chairman of the Association of the Finnish Foreign Affairs Journalists and I'm still serving the association as a member of the board.
