Experienced journalist with focus on media and business. In my current position, I'm also dedicated to developing effective strategies for Current's digital publishing and audience growth, relying on social media, attention to analytics and community engagement. I've written extensively about public media for Current, the website and newspaper covering public broadcasting. In my freelance career I've also written for the Washingtonian, the Washington City Paper, In These Times, Mediabistro, the Future of Music Coalition, and several real estate publications. For four years I hosted a show on community radio station WPFW in Washington, D.C., featuring jazz, African music and other genres. I was an associate producer for a public radio documentary and filed several pieces for WAMU, a public radio station in Washington. I was a fellow in the Public Media Corps in 2010 and coordinated applications for noncommercial FM stations in 2007.
