Biography
I'm a lifelong film fanatic. That's what you should know about me right off the bat. Among my friend groups and at work, I'm often considered the de facto film buff. I'm a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a degree in English (Emphasis on Creative Writing) and a minor in Film, Video, Animation, and New Genres. My primary academic interest was in screenwriting and film analysis, and my goal was to become a stronger and more concise writer and storyteller. I am a contributor at the independent horror website Slay Away, where I previously wrote editorials and reviews and now focus on my column, Decoding Evil, where I dissect and analyze famous horror villains. I also write freelance for Route Magazine, where I write stories on historical locations and figures. Most recently, I wrote as a Features Writer for MovieWeb, where I wrote two to three features a week on films and pop culture. I aim to gain more experience in content writing and copywriting and hopefully become a screenwriter.
