Biography

After studying fashion design in Cape Town from 2011 to 2013, I found my way to fashion media. My detour became my new path – content stuck. I built my skills and learned as much as possible about digital publishing and the incredible power of stories, whether they wove their narratives through features, news, or other forms of media. I've held a number of roles within South African fashion: Content producer at Elle South Africa, content writer at Superbalist, copywriter at Woolworths, columnist at Twyg & at Spree. Going part-time freelance in 2017 and full-time in 2019, I first took my perspective to a wider local audience, writing for titles like Sunday Times South Africa (EDIT Magazine), House & Leisure South Africa, CLOUT/SA, LOOKBOOK Journal, News24, GQ South Africa, Elle South Africa and beloved local brands like Suki Suki Naturals and Best. I also began to build a global footprint, working in copywriting again for Unilever's global suite of beauty and personal care brands (incl. Dove & babyDove, Simple, TRESemmé, AHC Korea) and writing feature stories and other articles for Vogue Arabia, Fashionista.com, InStyle USA, Industrie Africa, Refinery29, OkayAfrica and more. I now offer a range of content services (from initial concept and development to final production and publishing) and content consulting to style-conscious businesses — fashion, beauty & creative industry clients, as well as brands in tech, entrepreneurship, art and general media.
