Biography
I'm a health reporter passionate about helping other journalists and raising awareness journalists' well-being. I've worked in Indiana, Washington, D.C. and Florida. I'm currently at The Journalist's Resource, a project of the Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy at Harvard Kennedy School. I write research roundups, explainers and tip sheets about various health topics with a focus on disparities. I also write about the intersection of trauma and journalism. I helped cover the Pulse mass shooting tragedy when I was at the Orlando Sentinel and later co-started the Journalists Covering Trauma Facebook group as a gathering place for reporters and editors and an information resource about journalists' mental health and responsible reporting of tragedies.
