Biography

Tech Journalist | Author | Ottawa, Canada 🚀 I'm a tech journalist based in Ottawa, Ontario -- Canada's stunning capital city. My current beat? All things Google. You'll find my insights and witty takes on Android Police. 🎓 Journalism was my college passion. Since then, I've penned articles for Digital Trends, Ottawa Life Magazine, Marketingedge Magazine and The Travel. I was a journalist with the Algonquin Times newspaper where I snagged an award from the Ontario Community Newspaper Association for one of my investigative features. 🌏 Wanderlust led me overseas, teaching English in South Korea, Russia, and Ukraine for seven years. I even tried my sea legs on commercial fishing trawlers off Canada's Pacific coast—only to realize that land is where my words flow best. 📚 I'm also an author. "Opus Tsunami" was my first book and explores the terrifying power of tsunamis. My current project? A historical novel following Canadian Hurricane pilots led by the indomitable Douglas Bader during the Battle of Britain. 🎙️✨ I write for History Guild, an Australian history site, and publish Battlegrounds+, a site and newsletter for fellow history nerds and armchair generals.
