Biography
I am an award-winning multimedia investigative reporter and lecturer. I am currently Current Affairs Correspondent with The Currency. My work focuses primarily on issues related to climate change, energy, biodiversity loss, and food production, as well as a range of other social, planning, legal, financial and economic issues. Before joining the team at The Currency, I was an investigative reporter with Journal Media's Noteworthy platform. I have experience working on multiple cross-border projects with EU reporters, for which I have won several awards, including Business Analyst of the Year in 2022. I was the also first-ever recipient of the Mary Raftery Journalism Fund Traineeship in Investigative Journalism with the Irish Times, and in a former life, I was an intelligence analyst with INTERPOL before moving into the field of investigative reporting, first gaining experience with the Bureau of Investigative Journalism in the UK and then with RTE Investigates. I also lecture at Griffith College Dublin on investigative reporting, research techniques and how to construct successful access to information requests.
