The Marshall News Messenger

Established in 1877, The Marshall News Messenger publishes a print edition Tuesday through Sunday, providing the latest news from the City of Marshall, Harrison County and surrounding areas. The Marshall News Messenger (originally the Marshall Morning News) is a daily newspaper based in Marshall, Texas, with a circulation of around 5,000 in the Marshall area. Cox Enterprises sold the newspaper to ASP Westward in 2009. In 2012, ASP announced the sale of the Marshall and Longview papers, along with 12 of its other non-daily East Texas papers, to M. Roberts Media a family owned media company which is owned by members of the Morris Roberts family. Jerry Pye serves as Publisher.
