Nicole Ludolph is a journalist from Cape Town. She works for health science publication, Bhekisisa, and has previously written for agri-news platform, Food for Mzansi. The Bhekisisa Centre for Health Journalism is an independent media organization dedicated to narrative, solutions-based journalism that addresses health and social justice issues across Africa. The name "Bhekisisa," meaning "to scrutinise" in isiZulu, reflects its mission to critically examine public health matters. Originally a health desk at the Mail & Guardian, Bhekisisa became an independent nonprofit in 2019, supported by funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
