Biography
Dr Pam Jarvis is an author, chartered psychologist, associate fellow of the British Psychological Society and freelance journalist. Originally from London, but now based in Leeds, she taught and researched in psychology and child development across community education, schools, colleges and universities for nearly thirty years, publishing many academic articles, books and chapters, including the best sellers 'Perspectives on Play’ and ‘Early Years Pioneers.’ She has also written for professional publications such as The Times Educational Supplement, Early Years Educator and The Psychologist. She has been blogging for over a decade, in The Huffington Post, The British Educational Research Association blogsite, Progressive Education and on her own blogsite ‘The Psychological Historian.’ Pam regularly publishes articles across Bylines Network, for which she also acts as assistant editor. She has also contributed to the Byline Times. In 2021, she published her first novel ‘On Time’, a unique blend of historical and science fiction, encapsulated in a multi-generational family story.
