I'm a producer for CBS News/48 Hours but also the author of 6 books including my well-received memoir "Leaving Story Avenue; my journey from the projects to the front page." Four time Emmy winner and have won every major award in television and most in print, including DuPont, Murrow and Gracie Awards (3 times) I was once a newspaper reporter for The NY Daily News and am a writer at heart. I've won four Emmys, a Peabody, an Edward R. Murrow, a DuPont and 3 Gracie Awards. In print, I've won the Meyer Berger Award given the Journalism School at Columbia University. I grew up in the Bronx in the Monroe Houses, a city housing project and was educated at Cardinal Hayes HS, Fordham University and Columbia University where I was a Revson Fellowp.
