Biography

I am responsible for the online approach for a unscripted TV shows at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. I have been behind some of the most successful online projects in the CBC's history. Including some of the first second screen projects in Canada, and one of the first live, interactive Social TV experiences in the world, the first use of Twitter as a voting mechanism on a reality show, and the first Twitter on-air hashtag integration at the CBC. I have been nominated or won a bunch of awards, and I am a frequent speaker at conferences and events on social TV and audience interactivity. I am one of the most experienced social TV producers in the country - and I have a deep appreciation of the opportunities that are emerging as television and the web converge. I recently launched a summit on television innovation called Innovate TV Summit. Specialties: Social TV, interactive media, second screen, online community building, social media, social media campaigns.
