Biography
I WANT YOU TO WIN Why me? * Your business is my business -Whether for a few hours editing some text or regularly submitting content in a long-term relationship, I become a dedicated member of your team and I want you to blow your competitors out of Google. * You are paying so you’re the boss – I can follow instructions and adhere to a brief, for instance, a specific keyword density. Often considered a necessary evil, I make this task a personal challenge and send myself flowers when the content flows naturally, you’re happy, and I’m proud of myself. * I can take the initiative – Let me reduce your workload. For instance, you may have a brain storming session you shudder at explaining to me. Send me images of your white board journey and I’ll interpret them. I was told by my last full-time employer that he was amazed I could write a user guide that was 80 percent correct after a meeting on new software I knew nothing about and had not yet been developed. Imagine what I can do when I can Google it. * Reduce editors’ load – I put all my drafts through Grammarly and Duplichecker to ease your editors' burden. I willingly, even enthusiastically, make changes based on feedback. It’s free continual learning, is the way I see it. Who am I? The reason I'm so enthusiastic about writing for a living and can inject this enthusiasm into your project is that I get to combine two career interests, work in my PJs, and save petrol. How did this fortuitous circumstance happen? I started my career first as a journalist and then a legacy developer and business analyst, both great jobs. But when at an interview for a programming position the interviewer offered me a job as a technical author instead, I had to Google ”technical author”. Today, I'm a remote writing nomad, creating content outlines on paper under a tree on a sunny day, typing when the sun goes down. And if I am happy, you’re sure to benefit from my mindset. What do I do? Despite having a Journalism degree with a major in politics, my area of specialization is the software space. This includes the documentation of front- and back-end applications, and writing tech-related articles and blogs, product descriptions, requirements specs, listicles, technical marketing content, and case studies. I do wistfully sometimes wish to get off the virtual well-trodden technical track and write a recipe blog, research home decor, or review novels. "Yeah, yeah. Get yourself a website and you can write what you want." I write about a wide range of tech-related subjects, like 5G, network protocols, the IIoT, AI, SaaS, sensors in manufacturing, cybersecurity, Li-ion batteries, MBANs, EVs, workplace app overload, BYOD security, and smart cities. There are not many subjects I'd be afraid to tackle, but I tend to go a bit blank when writing around arithmetic, finance, celebrities, health and beauty, politics, sports, entertainment, religion, and art. When I’m not a freelance writer, I have a few of my own writing projects I’m working on. Next step: Send me your writing bucket list and I'll give you a quote..
