Company Info

Georgia Public Broadcasting

Georgia Public Broadcasting (GPB) is a statewide public broadcasting network in Georgia, established in 1960. Originally known as Georgia Educational Television, it launched WGTV, the state's second educational television station. GPB has since expanded to offer both television and radio services, delivering educational, cultural, and community-focused programming throughout Georgia. GPB Television operates nine channels, featuring a range of content including documentaries, children's shows, and local productions. GPB Radio, with 20 stations, provides news, educational content, and cultural programming. The network also covers sports, particularly high school football, through programs like GPB SportsCentral and PrepSports. Additionally, GPB plays a vital role in community events and public safety by broadcasting important information and emergency alerts. In 2025, GPB plans to unveil a new strategic initiative and rebranding to mark its 65th anniversary, aiming to enhance its mission and better serve the people of Georgia.
